Leonard Anderson entered into his rest on April 10, 2020. He was the third of 3 sons born to Mildred Whitfield and Henry Anderson. Leonard attended Charles Evans Hughes High School in the Bronx where he excelled in track and field. He was also a member of a singing group which performed at small venues. He worked as a Spray Dryer Operator at Florasynth Inc. in Teterboro New Jersey for over 10 years. Leonard was a member of the company bowling team. Leonard and family moved to Chester in Orange County in 1986. He worked at his church Redeeming Love Christian Center in Nanuet New York and then settled into a Sales position at Filene's then Macy's. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking. He particularly liked making apple pies and pizza. Leonard also enjoyed many outdoor activities like taking his family to the beach and swimming. He also enjoyed a good game of basketball and playing table tennis. He was a sports enthusiast enjoying in particular boxing and basketball. His old school record album was vast he enjoyed singing and dancing to the tunes. After retiring he spent his time hiking and gardening. Leonard was very outgoing and a joiner. He was predeceased by both parents, his older brother Hank and his wife Deborah and his brother Fred Lee. Leonard is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughter Briszette and husband Keith Williams, daughter Kalilah and ex-husband Ryan Belding and his son Kareem. Grandchildren include Anina Lee, Austin Lee, Keith Williams Jr., Kyle Williams, Porter Belding and Eli Belding. Great-grandchildren Vaida Adams, Kashus Williams and Keith Williams III. Rest in peace Leonard.
